Article 1: Purpose and legal value<\/h4>

The purpose of these general terms and conditions is to set out the participation modalities for exhibitors at the fairs organised by LifeStyle Flanders.<\/p>

Any possible dispute between the participants on the one hand and the organisers of the fair on the other shall be brought before the Courts of Ghent, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction, as expressly agreed between the parties, unless LifeStyle Flanders chooses the courts having jurisdiction by virtue of the place of residence or the registered office of the exhibitor. Belgian law shall apply.<\/p>

Article 2: Official admission<\/h4>

Companies wishing to hold a stand at the fair are required to complete a \"registration form\" or \"application for participation\", which is available on request from LifeStyle Vlaanderen and to sign for agreement. The sending of this signed registration form binds the signatory definitively and irrevocably and implies the unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions. Any breach of these terms and conditions implies the obligation for the participant, who is allegedly guilty of it, to immediately comply with these terms and conditions, under penalty of immediate exclusion, without being able to claim reimbursement of the sums paid by him or compensation of any kind.<\/p>

Exhibitors are obliged to state on their registration form the full list of products they wish to exhibit. If they are commercial agents, they are obliged to include the names and addresses of the companies and\/or brands whose products they wish to exhibit. LifeStyle Flanders reserves the right to automatically remove all products not mentioned on the registration form.<\/p>

LifeStyle Flanders may refuse the request for participation at any time without having to justify its decision. The refusal of a request for participation shall not give rise to the payment of any compensation, in addition to the full refund of the advances paid.<\/p>

Article 3: General obligations of participants<\/h4>

Article 3.1: Staffing - timetable - assembly - disassembly<\/h5>

A registration form signed by him obliges the exhibitor to occupy the requested area for the entire duration of the event. The stand(s) must remain open all days at the set hours. It is forbidden to leave the displayed goods covered during the opening hours. No stand may be dismantled before the close of the fair. Assembly\/dismantling must be done in accordance with Article 11 below.<\/p>

Article 3.2: Cancellation conditions<\/h5>

The cancellation conditions are specific to each fair and its particular theme. However, these conditions apply in the absence of other, more specific conditions.<\/p>

In case the exhibitor does not occupy its surface, LifeStyle Flanders may dispose of it at its own discretion.<\/p>

If the cancellation occurs more than 60 days before the fair, a fee of 50% of the rental price will be payable to LIFESTYLE VLAANDEREN.<\/p>

If the cancellation takes place less than (or exactly) 60 days before the fair, the total rental price shall be owed to LIFESTYLE VLAANDEREN or if the cancellation takes place less than (or exactly) 14 days before the fair, the total rental price + \u20ac1000,- fine shall be owed to LIFESTYLE VLAANDEREN (idem in case of no-show during the fair days or if the exhibitor did not attend all days). In this case, the exhibitor will be obliged to pay the full price for the rented surface, possibly increased by the price for additional services already provided to him.<\/p>

Any request for cancellation must be transmitted by registered letter to B.V. LifeStyle Vlaanderen in order to be taken into account.<\/p>

Article 3.3: Prohibition of subletting<\/h5>

Subletting or ceding to a third party all or part of the stand, under any form whatsoever, even free of charge, is prohibited, except with the written consent of LifeStyle Vlaanderen.<\/p>

Article 4: Terms of payment<\/h4>

After registration, LifeStyle Flanders prepares the invoice for the full price of the rented surface. 30% of this invoice amount must be paid 7 days after receipt of the invoice, the remaining 70% must be paid in full at the latest 2 months before the start of the fair. If registration occurs less than 60 days before the fair, the invoice must be paid in full and in cash.<\/p>

As a rule, all payments should be made in full at the latest 2 months before the fair.<\/p>

Payments in connection with any additional costs for services ordered by the exhibitor through the technical manual (see below) must be made in cash immediately after receiving the invoice.<\/p>

Any additional orders during the fair itself, should be paid on site against receipt and will be invoiced after the end of the fair.<\/p>

All amounts due to LifeStyle Vlaanderen should be transferred in EURO to the BV LifeStyle Vlaanderen. Each payment should bear an indication of a customer number, an invoice number and the name of the exhibition.<\/p>

Any overdue payment shall automatically lead to the charging of interest equal to 10% per year on the amount due, and this without prior notice of default. In addition, any amount due and not paid by the indicated due date will be increased by a fixed compensation equal to 10% of the amount due. In the absence of full payment within the due date, LifeStyle Vlaanderen reserves the right to dispose of the reserved stand, whereby the exhibitor is still obliged to pay the outstanding sums in full.<\/p>

Disputes regarding invoicing must be made by registered letter within 15 days of the date of sending the invoice in order to be taken into account.<\/p>

Article 5: Stands and their layout<\/h4>

The allocation of the stands is done by LifeStyle Flanders, whether or not in consultation with the exhibitor, if the latter so wishes. However, LifeStyle Flanders determines the stands of the groups. In these groups, LifeStyle Flanders has the final say on the assigned stands or open-air set-ups. The final allocation of the stands is done only after receipt of payment of the invoices within the deadlines described in article 4. However, LifeStyle Flanders may, without having to justify itself and without being able to claim damages, change the distribution of the stands when this is in the general interest of the fair.<\/p>

At the moment they take possession of the stand that will be allocated to them, the exhibitors will be obliged to have any damage ascertained that might exist in the space(s) made available to them. Such complaint must be made to LifeStyle Flanders on the very day of taking possession. After this period, any repair to be carried out will be charged to him.<\/p>

Exhibitors may arrange the space within their stand as they wish, subject to compliance with the charter, on condition that they do not cause any nuisance to their neighbouring exhibitors and insofar as they safeguard the general aesthetics of the fair (e.g. do not set up blind walls). Only LifeStyle Flanders can judge this. Within the stands, however, it is forbidden to trim, modify, paint, paste or in any way damage the walls, floorboards or ceilings or any other material provided by LifeStyle Vlaanderen. Any infringement of this shall be under the full responsibility of the exhibitor. In the event of damage, nuisance to neighbours or accidents, LifeStyle Flanders is entitled to charge the repair costs to the exhibitor concerned.<\/p>

For each stand that is rented naked, a plan of the planned layout must be submitted to LifeStyle Flanders in good time and given for approval by the technical coordinators of LifeStyle Flanders.<\/p>

If the quality of the exhibited goods poses any fire risk, LifeStyle Flanders may require additional insulation measures or partitions. If one or more of the exhibited objects exceeds the weight of 300 kg per square metre, the exhibitor should contact LifeStyle Flanders in advance to find a solution to the resistance problem raised. Under no circumstances may the maximum permitted weight of 500 kg per square metre be exceeded when exhibiting goods.<\/p>

Smooth access to all emergency exits, fire extinguishers and electricity cabinets must remain possible at all times. Consequently, it is forbidden to set up any installation that could in any way hinder free access to them.<\/p>

Unless expressly approved in writing by LifteStyle Flanders, the sale of retail products to take away is prohibited within the exhibition area.<\/p>

Exhibitors are not allowed, without the consent of LifeStyle Vlaanderen, to advertise goods other than those traded by the exhibitor or by companies other than those whose products he trades. Moreover, it is not allowed to distribute promotional material at the entrance, in the common areas and especially in the aisles of the fair, unless otherwise stated in a personal agreement. The display of any advertising is also prohibited outside the stand at points other than those reserved for this purpose. It is furthermore prohibited to add any inscription to the outside of the ribbons provided by LifeStyle Vlaanderen. In case of infringement, LifeStyle Flanders will have the elements that were added in violation of these conditions removed at the exhibitor's expense and risk, without any prior notice of default. Exhibitors are not allowed, in order to attract visitors, to use noisy methods (decoys) and solicitation or other forms of \"market peddling\", with which they may inconvenience neighbouring stands and visitors.<\/p>

Article 6: Additional services<\/h4>

Each exhibitor will receive a technical manual in due course. It contains all the practical information relating to the event. The manual also mentions the possibilities of ordering additional services or material: electricity, electrical material, furniture, water connection, plants, etc.<\/p>

LifeStyle Flanders reserves the right to install a fuse box on the stands or in the storeroom if required by the organisation.<\/p>

LifeStyle Flanders disclaims any responsibility in case of power cuts, electricity breakdowns or water supply problems for any period of time. The exhibitor waives any recourse against the organisers in such circumstances.<\/p>

Article 7: Cleaning of the stands<\/h4>

Exhibitors are responsible for the general maintenance of the stands. If he wishes to have his stand cleaned by an external company, only the specialised company recognised by LifeStyle Vlaanderen can be responsible for the daily cleaning of the stand. An order form for this service is enclosed in the \"technical manual\". For safety reasons, the cleaning of the stands may only be done by representatives of this recognised company.<\/p>

Exhibitors accept the stand and its fittings in the condition in which they are and must leave them in the same condition. In particular, it is strictly forbidden to insert hooks or nails in the wall panels of the stands or to apply non-removable adhesive substances to them. Adhesive tape and the like must be COMPLETELY removed afterwards. Any damage caused by an exhibitor's installations or products will be charged to the latter.<\/p>

Article 8: Civil liability insurance - compulsory<\/h4>

LifeStyle Flanders subscribes, if requested by the exhibitor, to a general insurance policy covering the following: the liabilities set out in Articles 1732 to 1735 of the Civil Code for all tenants and occupants (users of real estate), as well as the liability for damage to third parties, except when caused by fire, explosion, soot, smoke, steam, arising from Articles 1382 and 1386 of the Civil Code. The full text and conditions of this insurance will be made available to the exhibitor. The participants are in this case obliged to pay a fixed contribution for this, and this together with the advance payment on the stand rental at the time of sending the affiliation request. If the exhibitor wishes to insure himself for this purpose, an insurance certificate must be handed over to LifeStyle Vlaanderen upon registration.<\/p>

Article 9: \"All risks\" for material and goods belonging to exhibitors<\/h4>

LifeStyle Flanders disclaims any responsibility for damage caused to material and goods belonging to the exhibitors, whatever the cause. By participating in the fair, the exhibitors also waive all recourse against the co-owners, tenants and occupants of the building for damage caused by a fire or any other cause. Exhibitors and participants in the fair must insure their own goods \/ contents of their stand by taking out an \"all risks from nail to nail\" framework policy with an official insurer.<\/p>

Article 10: Official catalogue and publicity<\/h4>

LifeStyle Flanders reserves the right to publish or not to publish a catalogue stating the name of the exhibitor as well as his business address, his stand location and the goods exhibited. These details will be published in the catalogue, subject to<\/p>

otherwise for a particular exhibition. Errors or gaps of any kind, which might occur in the editing of the catalogue or any other form of official communication, cannot be the subject of any recourse against LifeStyle Vlaanderen or its publishers\/printers. LifeStyle Flanders does not under any circumstances guarantee that data and information which have not been provided by the deadline, 1 month before the start of the event, will still be printed.<\/p>

Article 11: Construction - Demolition - Access to the halls and stands<\/h4>

No vehicle may enter the exhibition halls unless expressly stated otherwise. Only within the specific times stipulated and communicated in the regulations of the organisers of the exhibition halls are vehicles and lorries admitted via the adjacent private car park, up to the entrance gate of the halls themselves. The exact dates and times for setting up and dismantling the stands are given in the \"technical manual\".<\/p>

All stand locations must be restored to their original condition at the exhibitors' expense and released no later than the last day of the exhibition before midnight, unless other conditions are stated in writing by LifeStyle Flanders.<\/p>

The exhibitors are liable for all accidents and complaints that may arise from the non-implementation or late implementation of those regulations. LifeStyle Flanders may have the material left behind removed after the set deadline and restore the assigned stand location to its original state, with the costs incurred for those operations resting in any case with the exhibitors.<\/p>

If the exhibitor's goods and decorations are not removed in time, LifeStyle Vlaanderen may proceed to remove them itself. In such case, the goods will be stored until the exhibitor comes to collect them, subject to payment of a fee for their removal and storage. LifeStyle Flanders is entitled to offer for sale any material and goods which are not claimed by the exhibitor within the period of 15 days after the end of the exhibition. Any expenses will be charged to the exhibitor.<\/p>

Article 12<\/h4>

LifeStyle Flanders reserves the right, without the participants being able to claim any compensation, to decide at any time, including in the event of force majeure or because of a request by the authorities in charge of security, to extend, move or close the fair early, as well as to change the location or opening hours. If the fair cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances, an external cause (e.g. following a decision by the authorities) or force majeure, any reservation will be cancelled.<\/p>

In such case, after payment of any expenses incurred by LifeStyle Flanders, the remaining amount will be distributed pro-rata and depending on the size of the sums paid by them, among the participants without them being able to hold LifeStyle Flanders in default for the balance of the sums paid by them on any grounds whatsoever.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
